FAVORITE MEMORY
My favorite memories have come out of spending time in the offices of the Buller group. The day-to-day talk with the people I do research with has been a blast, and I am incredibly grateful for the friends I have made through doing undergraduate research.
BIOGRAPHY
I grew up in Gainesville, Florida and was recruited to join the men’s swimming and diving team at UW-Madison. I began my freshman year of college thinking I would be a chemical engineering major before switching to studying chemistry and biochemistry at the end of the first semester. I joined Professor Andrew Buller’s research group in the summer of 2018 and have spent the past two years working on the biocatalytic synthesis of unnatural amino acids alongside graduate students Jon Ellis and Meghan Campbell. Throughout my time in Madison, I have found a passion for organic chemistry and hope to work towards improving synthetic methods in future research.
