Sue (Susan) Waraczynski

Sue attended medical school in Milwaukee instead of continuing with chemistry grad school like her friends. She completed a residency in Indianapolis, then moved to Green Bay, WI. She faced discrimination, as women physicians (and scientists) did at the time.

She met and married Bharat Pathakjee, a cardiologist, in Green Bay. They retired to Tampa, FL, but are thinking of going to Seattle, their second choice. They have one child, a son who got his honors math degree from UW and added a computer science major. He lives in Seattle.
